The love of music, and more specifically the piano, has always been a part of my life.

I began private piano lessons when I was 5 years old, fell in love with the instrument and have never stopped learning everything I can about it.  While in high school, I was honored as one of the top 8 pianists in the state of Tennessee.  By 16, people began asking me to teach their children.  So, I opened my own piano studio to make extra money.  I loved teaching piano so much I KNEW that teaching music was what I wanted to do the rest of my life.  I studied music in college, earned a piano scholarship, and graduated with my Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from Brigham Young University

My private piano studio has been teaching students for more than 15 years the basics and more advanced techniques of successful piano playing.   My education has allowed me to focus on how to teach others about the instrument I love.

In addition to my private piano studio, I have also taught music education classes in the public school setting for several years.  I have been the music director for many well-known musicals, including ANNIE, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, BYE-BYE BIRDIE, THE FANTASTIKS, and SCHOOL HOUSE ROCK, LIVE!, as well as being actively involved in vocal and piano workshops for children and adults in many communities across the United States.
